Welcome to Vision™: Our First Public Release
After months of development, hundreds of hours of testing, and invaluable feedback from our private beta cohort, Vision™ is publicly available. This is a letter from me — Nathan Smith, founder of Cultivation — about what we built, why we built it, and where we're going.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Every organization I've worked with has the same problem: they can't see their own system. They know things are broken — projects take too long, teams are misaligned, technology doesn't work together, customers fall through cracks — but they can't see why. The root causes are invisible, hidden behind organizational complexity, departmental silos, and the sheer volume of competing priorities.
Traditional consulting tries to solve this with interviews, workshops, and slide decks. But those tools produce a snapshot, not a system view. They capture opinions, not structures. And they're obsolete the moment they're delivered, because organizations change faster than consultants can document them.
What Vision™ Does
Vision™ maps your organization into a structured model — the Universal Business Map — that represents how your business actually works across six invariant dimensions. It identifies constraints (the things limiting your throughput), opportunities (the things that would create the most value if pursued), and dependencies (the hidden connections between initiatives that determine what should happen in what order).
The output isn't a slide deck. It's a living, interactive model of your organization that you can query, explore, and simulate against. It's intelligence infrastructure — a layer above your tools and teams that makes the invisible visible.
What's in the First Release
Version 1.1 includes the core diagnostic engine, 12 analysis modules, the Universal Business Map visualization, constraint and opportunity ranking, basic reporting, and the foundation of the Knowledge Graph. It's enough to run a meaningful diagnostic and get actionable findings.
It's not everything we want to build. Strategic sequencing, DX project management, team collaboration, digital twins, and scenario simulation are all on the roadmap. But we believe in shipping what works and iterating based on real usage rather than building in isolation.
Where We're Going
The long-term vision for Cultivation is to build intelligence infrastructure for human systems. Vision™ is the first product, but it's not the last. We see a future where every organization has a continuously-updated model of itself — a digital twin that helps leaders make better decisions, faster, with less risk.
If that future interests you, start with a diagnostic. See what Vision™ reveals about your organization. And then help us build the future of organizational intelligence by sharing your feedback, your insights, and your experience. We're just getting started.
